You Want to Be in a Band. Let's Make That Happen.
This Is What Being in a Band Actually Feels Like
You’ve been playing. Maybe you’ve been taking lessons for a while, or maybe you just picked it up and you’re ready to do something with it. Either way, you already know that playing alone only goes so far.
Rock Garage puts you in a band, matched by age and skill level, with other musicians who are into the same stuff you are. A real music director runs your weekly rehearsals, helps your band lock in your setlist, and gets you ready to perform at actual venues around Indianapolis.
This isn’t a recital. This isn’t a school concert. This is a real gig, in front of a real crowd, with your band behind you.
Sound Like You?
No matter where you are in your musical journey, there’s a place at Rock Garage for you!

You're ready to level up
You've put in the work. You can play. Now you want to actually do something with it: play with other people, learn songs you care about, and perform in front of a crowd. That's exactly what this is.

You want to find your people
The best part of being in a band isn't the music. It's the crew. Rock Garage bands become tight, fast. You'll find people who are into what you're into and show up every week ready to work.

You're nervous but you want to try
Not sure if you're ready? That's what Rock Solid is for. Every Saturday we run a drop-in session where you can try out playing with other people before committing to a band. Low pressure. Just music.

You've got something to say
Rock Garage isn't just about playing other people's songs. We encourage our members to write, record, and create. Some of our bands have played original music on live TV. If you've got ideas, we want to hear them.

“I got to play live on the news, performing an original song we wrote as a band. It was nerve-wracking but I get to show that off now, and I’m proud of it.”
